COLOR BELT TESTS

Color belt tests at the Taekwondo & Hapkido Academy are rewarding and exciting for all who attend. The most valuable aspect of the testing process is the confidence students gain from demonstrating their new martial arts skills before family, training partners, friends, and instructors. When they step on the mat to test students know they have the collective support of this community. They come prepared to work hard and show what they can do. In the end, they go home happy and energized with their new belts and Certificates of Rank.

Our Winter Belt Test group included all ages - Junior Eagles, Children, and Adult students - and in many cases entire families turned out to test togther. For added excitiement The Eagles Team and Instructors Jose and David gave fantastic forms, self-defense, and breaking demonstrations. Junior Eagles Belt Test - March 12th 2011

Junior Eagles Black Belts!

Master Misael made a formal presentation of framed Bo Dan certificates to two of his young students at this belt test. It was the academy's equivalent of a kindergarten graduation ceremony. These two chidren now wear Junior Eagles black belts after nearly two years of martial arts training! Their pride and joy over their accomplishment was clear to all and the entire academy celebrated them with huge rounds of applause and cheering. It was a day to remember for these two little martial artists!

Two advanced Junior Eagles received their red belts on Saturday after an excellent test - and both are very excited to start training for their Junior Eagles black belts! And, the academy's two youngest martial artists performed beautifully in their first-ever belt test. They proudly advanced to the rank of Junior Eagles yellow belt!

The Junior Eagles are the academy's little ones ranging in age from 3 to 6 years old. Their training centers on gross motor skill development, balance, listening, focus, respect, and spirit. They display all of these skills during their tests as the pictures in the photo gallery show-especially spirit!
